As part of the Identity Panel Suite’s Joiner-Mover-Leaver (JML) lifecycle automation, Access Panel offers built-in support for managing contingent workers. A key feature is its ability to notify a contingent worker’s manager one week before the user's deactivation date. This ensures smoother workforce transitions and minimizes operational disruptions from unexpected account removals.
How It Works
When a contingent worker is onboarded, their contract end date is typically recorded in a source system such as an HR platform or contractor management system. This information is automatically synchronized into Identity Panel using HyperSync Panel, the Suite’s high-performance identity synchronization engine.
Access Panel then leverages this data to trigger proactive notifications:
-
Identifies contingent workers using defined criteria (e.g., employee type, group membership, or source system tags)
-
Monitors contract end dates in the centralized identity data model
-
Sends a manager alert seven days before the scheduled deactivation
-
Includes key details such as the worker’s name, planned deactivation date, and suggested next steps
This notification is powered by Access Panel’s Just-in-Time (JIT) policy framework, which enables organizations to define rules and actions based on identity attributes like end dates.
Why It Matters
By automatically notifying managers ahead of contract completion, Access Panel helps organizations plan ahead, maintain compliance, and avoid accidental access lapses—resulting in better workforce coordination and reduced security risk.
