Identity Panel includes intelligent lifecycle automation to manage user access in alignment with business and HR events. One powerful feature is the ability to automatically re-enable access for users scheduled to return from leave. This action can occur at any time before the user's expected return date and has the capability to be paired with automated notifications to the user’s manager or other required recipients.
How it Works
When a user is marked as being on leave—such as for parental leave, medical absence, or sabbatical—their access may be temporarily disabled. Identity Panel monitors these cases using the return date recorded in the identity data. As the return date approaches, the system:
-
Automatically schedules re-enablement of user access as needed in advance of the return
-
Sends a notification to the user’s manager to confirm or adjust the expected return timeline
-
Updates identity records and re-syncs with connected systems as needed
This proactive approach ensures users regain access in a timely manner, reducing administrative overhead while maintaining compliance and security.
Benefits
-
Minimizes Disruption: Ensures access is restored before the user resumes work, avoiding downtime on day one.
-
Reduces Manual Tasks: Eliminates the need for IT or HR to track return dates or manually restore access.
-
Enhances Manager Visibility: Sends alerts to managers, enabling them to confirm or adjust timelines before access is reactivated.
-
Supports Compliance: Maintains a documented history of access changes in audit logs and reports.
By automating return-to-work transitions, Identity Panel improves operational efficiency and employee experience while maintaining tight control over access governance.
