Automatically Enable User Accounts on Start Date

The Identity Panel Suite can automatically enable user accounts on their designated start date using a feature called Just-in-Time provisioning, delivered through HyperSync Panel. This automation eliminates manual steps on day one, ensuring new employees gain immediate access to the systems they need.

When an HR system (such as Workday or SAP) provides a start date for a new hire, Identity Panel uses that information to schedule and execute account activation. The system watches for that date and time, and when it arrives, it provisions or re-enables accounts across Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, and other connected systems.

How It Works

HyperSync Panel continuously monitors identity data and triggers actions based on lifecycle events. Start-date provisioning is handled as follows:

• Start Date Detection: The user’s start date is imported from an authoritative source (typically an HR system).

• Scheduled Provisioning: The system checks the current date against the start date. When the two match, the user’s accounts are automatically enabled.

• System Integration: Identity Panel connects to downstream systems (e.g., AD, Entra ID, Okta) to update account status, group memberships, and permissions.

This is achieved using event-driven synchronization rules, which allow changes to occur precisely on schedule—even during off-hours or holidays.
