Emergency Access Management with Access Panel

Access Panel includes built-in capabilities for managing emergency access to sensitive systems. This functionality ensures that when a time-sensitive situation arises—such as a security incident or critical system outage—authorized personnel can request and be granted temporary elevated access through a secure, auditable process.

Emergency access in Access Panel is supported through Just-in-Time (JIT) policies, which define clear workflows specifying who can request, approve, and receive temporary access. These policies reduce the risk associated with standing privileges and enable time-bound access that aligns with security and compliance standards​.

Time-Bound and Auditable Access with Notifications

When an emergency access request is submitted, Access Panel evaluates predefined request policies that control eligibility, scope, and required approvals. Once approved, the user is granted access automatically, and the system initiates a countdown based on a configured time limit or resolution trigger. The elevated access is then automatically revoked—either after the defined time window expires or upon closure of the incident, whichever occurs first.
