The Identity Panel Suite enables seamless integration with HR systems like Workday to automate identity data updates across your organization. One common use case is managing employee name changes. When an employee updates their name in Workday, Identity Panel can automatically capture and process this change using employee ID, old name, new name, and effective date.
This eliminates manual intervention and ensures consistency across systems such as Active Directory, email, and internal business applications.
How the Process Works
Using HyperSync Panel, Identity Panel listens for updates in Workday and initiates a name change workflow based on specific fields:
-
Employee ID: A unique identifier used to match records across systems
-
Old Name: The previous legal name recorded in Workday
-
New Name: The updated legal name submitted by the employee
-
Effective Date: The date on which the name change becomes official
Once this information is received, Identity Panel performs the following:
-
Validates the change against existing identity records
-
Applies the update to the centralized identity graph (via Hyperverse)
-
Triggers attribute synchronization to connected systems (e.g., AD, Azure AD, email directories)
-
Logs the event for compliance and auditing purposes
This process uses stateful synchronization rules and can be event-driven or scheduled, ensuring updates are processed promptly and accurately.
