Identity Panel supports native integration with ServiceNow's Service Catalog, allowing users to request access directly within the familiar ServiceNow interface. Unlike solutions that simply redirect to external identity governance tools, Identity Panel ensures that the full request lifecycle—submission, approval, provisioning, and audit—happens within ServiceNow while being powered by the governance and entitlement policies defined in the Identity Panel Suite.
This native integration enhances user experience and promotes adoption, especially for organizations that have standardized on ServiceNow for IT service management. Employees can initiate access requests for applications, roles, or entitlements directly from ServiceNow without needing to switch platforms.
How the Integration Works
-
Service Panel and Access Panel: These two components from the Identity Panel Suite provide the framework for integration. Service Panel handles user interaction and form presentation, while Access Panel manages entitlement logic, policy enforcement, and request workflows.
-
Projected Silos: Identity data, including available roles and entitlements, is surfaced into ServiceNow via Projected Silos. This allows dynamic population of catalog items and attributes.
-
Request Policies: Within Identity Panel, Request Policies define approval chains, conditions, and messaging for each type of access request.
-
Real-Time Fulfillment: Approved requests trigger provisioning actions using HyperSync Panel, which supports immediate, rules-driven updates to downstream systems such as Active Directory, SaaS applications, or custom systems.
The entire process is transparent to end users—while Identity Panel powers the logic, ServiceNow remains the front-end interface for requesting and managing access.
