To support regular audits, compliance checks, and access certifications, organizations often need to gather user account data from multiple systems. The Identity Panel Suite from SoftwareIDM streamlines this process by automatically collecting and consolidating key user identity attributes from authoritative sources such as Workday and identity and access management (IAM) systems.
What Data Is Collected
Identity Panel gathers a comprehensive set of user account details to support access reviews and identity governance:
-
Employee ID: A unique identifier for each user, typically sourced from Workday
-
Name: Full legal name or preferred display name, based on your organization’s data policies
-
Role: The individual’s job function or position title
-
Department: Organizational unit the user belongs to, as reported in HR or directory systems
-
Application Access: Current access entitlements across connected business applications and systems
This data is automatically imported, normalized, and joined across systems using configurable Join Rules to ensure accurate identity correlation—even when systems use different identifiers or naming conventions.
How It Works
The collection process is powered by HyperSync Panel, a synchronization engine within the Identity Panel Suite. HyperSync reads user records from Workday and other connected IAM systems, then synchronizes and updates identity data in real time or on a schedule. Key features include:
-
Automatic provisioning and deprovisioning based on HR data changes
-
Support for event-driven triggers or scheduled syncs
-
Attribute mapping and transformation, including department names or role titles
-
Join Graph technology to connect identities across systems into a unified view
The gathered data is stored in a historical record through Time Traveler, allowing reviewers to view changes over time and understand the context of access decisions.
