When a user’s employee ID changes—whether due to correction, reassignment, or policy updates: the Identity Panel Suite ensures that the new identifier is accurately and consistently reflected across all connected identity directories and integrated applications.
How the System Works
The Identity Panel Suite uses its synchronization engine, HyperSync Panel, to detect and manage updates to user attributes such as employee ID. When a change is made in a source system (commonly an HR platform), HyperSync captures that update and initiates a synchronization process. This process flows the updated employee ID to all configured target systems, such as Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), downstream databases, and business-critical SaaS applications.
Key features of this process include:
-
Event- or schedule-driven updates: Changes can be synchronized immediately or at predefined intervals
-
Cross-system consistency: Ensures all linked systems reflect the same updated employee ID
-
Automatic remediation: Detects and resolves conflicts or mismatches in identity data
Benefits for Your Organization
By automating employee ID updates, Identity Panel helps organizations:
-
Reduce manual effort and human error: No need to manually update multiple systems
-
Ensure data accuracy and compliance: Keep identifiers consistent across platforms, helping meet audit and regulatory requirements
-
Improve provisioning outcomes: Maintain alignment between HR records and access control systems to avoid misidentification or access issues
What You Need to Know
-
The update is handled using stateful synchronization rules defined in HyperSync Panel.
-
Updates to the employee ID can also be made via Service Panel forms, allowing service desk or HR staff to submit changes directly through a web interface.
-
Every change is logged, auditable, and can be viewed historically using Time Traveler for full traceability.
Automated employee ID updates ensure your identity ecosystem remains in sync, reduces operational friction, and supports secure, compliant identity governance.
