Flexible Search for Identity Data Analysis
Identity Panel's search capabilities are designed to meet the needs of complex environments by supporting advanced, structured search queries. Users can construct precise search conditions using logical operators (such as AND, OR, and NOT), comparison operators, and field-specific filtering. This allows compliance officers, auditors, and IT administrators to locate records that meet highly specific criteria across silos and historical data snapshots.
For example, a user may search for all accounts with a certain title and department that were active on a specific date. These types of queries are essential in environments with large datasets and strict regulatory requirements.
Nested Queries for Multi-Layered Conditions
In addition to basic structured search, Identity Panel also supports nested queries—queries within queries—which enable users to build multi-tiered logic conditions. This is especially useful when evaluating identities with relationships to other objects or when combining date-sensitive conditions with attribute-based filters.
A common scenario involves finding users with roles that change over time or accounts with certain attribute combinations that existed during a compliance-relevant period. With nested logic, users can answer questions like, "Which employees were in department X and had a title change during the last quarter?"
These nested queries are supported in both the standard search interface and in the advanced Time Traveler view, which allows exploration of data as it existed at any point in time.
