Search Capabilities in Identity Panel and Service Panel

The Identity Panel Suite includes advanced, user-friendly search features across both Identity Panel and Service Panel, designed to support efficient identity data exploration and reporting. These features address core business needs like usability, access control, and data portability.

Note: As of this writing, versions 7.5 and 8 of the Identity Panel Suite have not been officially released. The features described below are based on documented capabilities planned for those upcoming releases.

Search History and Suggestions

Planned for version 8, Identity Panel will introduce a search history and suggestions feature. This enhancement improves productivity by remembering recent queries and offering intelligent suggestions based on previous search terms. Users will be able to quickly recall past searches or discover new, relevant results based on input patterns​.

Role-Based Search Restrictions

Search access in Identity Panel and Service Panel can be restricted to specific users or groups using audience rules. These rules allow administrators to define which roles are permitted to perform searches or view particular datasets. This supports compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements by ensuring sensitive identity data is only available to authorized users​.

Export to CSV or Excel

In the upcoming version 7.5, Identity Panel will support downloading search results in CSV or Excel formats. This feature enables users to easily extract search results for further analysis, recordkeeping, or sharing outside the system—for example, during audits or compliance reviews​.

Natural Language Search

Version 8 will also introduce natural language search using vector search technology. This allows users to enter plain-language questions (e.g., "Which employees joined last month in Marketing?") without needing to know the exact field names or filters. The system interprets the query and returns the most relevant identity records, making the search process more intuitive and accessible​.

These upcoming enhancements to the Identity Panel Suite will simplify how organizations interact with identity data, offering greater visibility, control, and ease of use—all while maintaining strong governance and security.
